Director of eDiscovery Services

Summary

The position of Director of eDiscovery is a key member of Redgrave Data’s global, collaborative team who oversees the eDiscovery Service.  The DOE reports to the Chief of Services Officer.  This position will lead the migration, development and maturity of Redgrave Data’s eDiscovery structure including people, process and technologies. 

Essential Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities

  • Provides client consultation within the context of client inputs and goals to optimize data populations for early data assessment, review, and production
  • Manage all aspects of Redgrave Data’s eDiscovery services, including, electronic data discovery, document hosting and coding, consulting, managed review, and other professional services
  •  Responsible for all case management notes, tracking and chain of custody Responsible for staff the team, build out services and develop all team priorities, training plans, and operational mechanisms
  • Design and assist global data/image acquisition processes and standards
  • Responsible for imaged data lifecycle and inventory management to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability, and chain of custody
  • Track team utilization, manage workload balancing, and ensure proper resourcing for all incoming review projects
  • Communicate and maintain billing and project activities with all internal teams to support the optimal outcome of client engagements
  • Account management of existing and newly added clients
  • Ensure coordination of facility and logistical considerations for review services team
  • Actively contribute to the development of the Redgrave Data brand
  • Successfully develop and maintain superior client relationships through direct and indirect marketing efforts (e.g., articles, speeches, other PR, webinars, conferences, etc.)
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and mentorship of team members
  • Actively influence the growth and development of team members
  • Work with team members to develop objective performance measurements across Redgrave Data to ensure consistent, high-quality evaluations and goal setting for all employees
  • Ensure company policies and guidelines are communicated and followed at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; Masters or other advanced degree preferred
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of industry-standard review and production tools including Relativity, Everlaw, DISCO, etc.
  • Strong understanding of AI capabilities and applications
  • Possess a high degree of eDiscovery experience and knowledge especially with document review
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-pace environment where your teams are managing multiple fast-moving projects at a given time
  • You are a natural people manager who develops team members and enables them to become more effective and take on more significant responsibilities
  • At least ten years of experience in eDiscovery and information governance within a law firm, consulting advisory firm, or corporate management function
  • Ability to travel up to 35 percent of the time
  • Ability to travel internationally

Physical Requirements

  • Occasionally lifts objects weighing up to 10 pounds
  • Frequently reaches and grasps with arms and hands; occasionally stoops and bends; must have manual dexterity
  • Ability to closely examine and inspect materials
  • Ability to identify and distinguish colors
  • Frequently uses a keyboard to enter or transform words or data
